Portable Sanitation Issues Following the Burning Man Flood
October 9, 2023Managing Donations & Free Rentals
October 23, 2023One of the dilemmas in the portable toilet rental industry is deciding what to do with partially used-up rolls of toilet paper. If the amount of toilet paper left in the unit may not last until the next scheduled service, most PROs will go ahead and replace it with fresh rolls. But what should you do with the partial rolls?
Some business owners elect to have them brought back to the shop to be used by the team there. Or, they take them home or give them to employees to take home. Others donate them to shelters or similar non-profit organizations. Re-rolling the leftover toilet paper to keep it usable for the business isn’t always considered because either the PRO simply isn’t aware of it as a possible solution or it would provide minimal savings when weighed against the time it would take to complete.
But what if you do want to re-roll toilet paper? Maybe you have time in the evenings to devote to it or have a spouse/partner or children willing to help. If you’re intrigued, you just need a toilet paper re-roller. Many solutions are homemade, and with some ingenuity, you can be re-rolling in no time.
The infographic below details some toilet paper re-roller options you can consider. Hopefully, it can spark some ideas and get you thinking about what could work for your business.
