Denver man injured in port-a-potty prank
No one in the industry likes having their units tipped over. And obviously as this story shows, it’s dangerous to the person inside the unit as well. Come on people. Stop tipping over porta-potties!

Came across an article about a porta-potty company in Vermont taking the contents from their units and having it processed into fertilizer. It’s an interesting concept. I wonder if it will take off or not.

COVID-19 means more business for septic companies
A few articles like this have been written. This pandemic stuff sucks but at least people in our industry are staying busy for the most part. If it changes anybody’s mind about the importance of the work we do that’s a bonus.

I guess it just takes a pandemic for people to appreciate the real value portable sanitation workers provide to society.

There’s been a lot of these stories. Cities need toilets for homeless people to use to keep the streets clean. But the cost holds things up. What’s anyone else think about this? I’m sure lots of businesses would like the payday of renting units to cities, but you also have to think about vandalism and graffiti… not to mention the government…[Read more]

Just curious about how the rest of you got into this business. For me, it was because of my dad. I used to work for him and then took over when he retired.
