Ways to Tie Down Your Units

Strapless Trailers

  • The fastest & easiest way to secure units
  • Adjustable slats secure toilet skids on the trailer bed
  • Eliminates concern of damage caused by over-tightening straps
  • Most expensive option

Strap Over the Roof

  • A strap is placed over the roof of the unit & tightened to secure it to the trailer or truck bed
  • Some units like PolyJohn’s are made with slots on the roofs for straps to sit in & prevent the unit from moving around
  • Care must be taken to not over-tighten the strap & cause damage to the unit
  • An affordable option

Strap Around the Back

  • One or more straps are placed around the back of the unit (or row of units) to secure it to the trailer or truck bed
  • Many PROs use one strap in the middle of the unit & another at the bottom
  • Care must be taken to not over-tighten the straps & cause damage to the unit
  • An affordable option
